Flatstock 24

Here are some of my favorite artists that were at the Flatstock Poster Show during SXSW 2010. I picked up a misprint of this ghost poster from Landland for 5 bucks.

I was very excited to see The Bungaloo by John Vogl there because he's my favorite St. Louis Artist.

Rosetta Santucci

Design*Sponge did a sneak peak into the painter Rosetta Santucci's home today, and holy-moly her work is stunning! After realizing she is from Australia you can really see the influence of aboriginal art on her style.

What a perfect way to display the variety of their letterforms. Their website also shows a video of the letters adjusting as you type. The images above and below are Liza. All of these lovely fonts are by Underware.

The price is right: Free

As I'm still in my thrifty stage of life I love free stuff, especially things that are edible or pretty or both. Here are some free textures.

Urban Outfitters gives 5 free songs every Monday on their blog, and has multiple 20 song LSTN cds for you to download, for free.

And my favorite, a guide to free food during SXSW in Austin, TX which starts this Friday. P.S. This illustration at the bottom of their webpage by Catherine Oshiro is adorable and very clearly is enhanced by the texture overlay.

Missing my heart

A wool beaded heart I made for my boo for Valentines Day. He flew back to St. Louis last night and I miss him dearly.
